Planetshakers Church is a dynamic and vibrant church based in Melbourne, Australia, with a mission to empower people to live their best lives. As part of their commitment to sustainability and responsible resource management, the church recently partnered with Australian Energy Upgrades to address a significant problem with inefficient lighting at their North East Campus.
The outdated lighting system was consuming large amounts of energy, contributing to high electricity bills and increased greenhouse gas emissions. To address this issue, Australian Energy Upgrades implemented a range of energy-efficient lighting solutions, including LED high bays, shop lights, battens, troffers, and floodlights. These solutions not only improved energy efficiency but also provided better quality lighting and improved color rendering. Additionally, smart lighting controls were installed to allow the church to adjust lighting levels and schedules to maximize energy savings. As a result of these changes, the North East Campus of Planetshakers Church is now saving over $10,000 annually off their lighting electricity bills and has significantly reduced their carbon footprint, contributing to a more sustainable future. This serves as an excellent example of how organizations can take proactive steps to address sustainability challenges and make a positive impact on the environment and their bottom line.
