The Problem.

Stilcon Group is a leading steel manufacturer in Australia, known for its high-quality steel products and exceptional customer service. However, the company was facing a major problem with inefficient lighting in its manufacturing plant. The high bays in the plant were not equipped with sensors, which meant that the lights remained on even when there was no activity in the area. This resulted in significant energy wastage and higher electricity bills for the company.

To address this issue, Stilcon Group engaged Australian Energy Upgrades, an energy efficiency company that specialises in reducing energy costs and improving sustainability for businesses. The team at Australian Energy Upgrades conducted a comprehensive audit of the Stilcon Group plant and identified the need for sensor-controlled lighting systems in the high bays.

As a result of the implementation of these new lighting systems, Stilcon Group was able to reduce its lighting energy consumption by 63%, resulting in significant cost savings and a reduced carbon footprint. The company’s management was highly satisfied with the outcome of the project and appreciated the expertise and professionalism of the team at Australian Energy Upgrades. This successful collaboration highlights the importance of energy efficiency and sustainability in the modern business landscape.

The Answer.

Australian Energy Upgrades conducted a thorough audit and installed 249 LED high bays with sensors, 9 LED flood lights, and 191 LED panels. This new lighting system reduced Stilcon’s energy consumption and resulted in significant cost savings of $13,016.12 annually on their lighting electricity bills.

The new lighting system also improved the working environment for the employees at Stilcon, with brighter and more evenly distributed light. This enhanced lighting system increased productivity and reduced the risk of workplace accidents caused by low lighting.

Stilcon’s successful partnership with Australian Energy Upgrades highlights the importance of implementing sustainable and energy-efficient solutions in businesses today. By adopting these sustainable practices, companies like Stilcon can reduce their environmental footprint, save money, and improve working conditions for their employees.
